Fastbreak has been active in the community of South East Queensland for the past 25 years selling products in: Non Sports Cards, Sports Cards, Table Top Miniatures & Collector Game Cards, as well as Figures ( pop culture).
From 1994 when 34 shops were in the Southeast of Qld. We now only have 8 stores who survived the onslaught of the computer age and internet. During this Fastbreak changed it’s principles and focus to align itself with these changes. With internet involvement we found that the interaction, communication and creativity skills with the younger generation was lacking.
Our goal at Fastbreak is to re-invent these skills. With all the games on offer everyone learns, the good aspects of communication, coordination, maths, english and social activity. These aspects are enhanced to fulfil a goal of achievement. All Tabletop Games are different, they need to be played with different skills in which we nurture these are played in a safe environment at the store.
Learn and play games from board games to minatures. D & D Miniatures, Star Wars Miniatures Game, Yugioh, World of Warcraft card game, Killer Bunnies, Axis and Allies, Monster Apocalapse, Dungeons and Dragons and many more (no computer games) We run over 20 games in store now with
community programmes including some PCYC and school activities, also programmes during school holidays. Other things we get involved in are conventions we run and hold our own Dungeon and Dragons Convention, DRAIGCON as well as pre-release tournaments for most games.
With the wide range of products held, our final commitment is that we try our best for our customers, whether it be from figures to games, as well as our support for the gaming industry in Qld with Gen Con Australia in September. The Tabletop Gaming Community is huge in Qld with all ages from 5 to 60 playing different games, socialising, with different cultures, ages, and backgrounds to learn and have FUN.
We open 7 Days and 5 nights a week for customers with gaming rooms available for hire by other gaming groups or players.
